{"id":12446,"date":"2026-08-05T14:49:32","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T12:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ctk.uni-lj.si\/?p=12446"},"modified":"2026-08-05T14:56:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T12:56:23","slug":"citalnica-mira-pusnika","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ctk.uni-lj.si\/en\/citalnica-mira-pusnika\/","title":{"rendered":"The Mira Pu\u0161nik Reading Room"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new reading room has been named \u2013 alongside the Minka Govekar, Janez Puh and Anton Codelli reading rooms, the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana (CTK) now also has the Mira Pu\u0161nik reading room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the cornerstones of CTK\u2019s work is its commitment to acting as a socially engaged library. The largest user group making use of CTK\u2019s facilities is the student body, with whom we work closely to address their wishes, needs and requirements. <em>\u00bbTo this end, in October 2025 we responded to the students\u00ab requests for new learning spaces, demolished part of our office space and created a new reading room, which has been fully occupied ever since it opened. However, as the CTK suffered the sudden and tragic loss of its then director, Mira Pu\u0161nik, MA, in January 2026, we decided to name the reading room after him. He was the first to listen to students\u2019 calls to improve the situation regarding study spaces in Ljubljana and to extend opening hours during the exam period, which means that the CTK offers study spaces every working day until midnight, and is also open until midnight at weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) during exam periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the opening of the Mira Pu\u0161nik Reading Room, students have gained 36 new study spaces, whilst the CTK continues to strive to resolve its space constraints and, in collaboration with other libraries, to provide as many study spaces as possible for students who need a quiet corner in which to study during exam periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Author of photos:Ga\u0161per Le\u0161nik<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nova \u010ditalnica je dobila ime &#8211; poleg \u010ditalnic Minke Govekar, Janeza Puha in Antona Codellija ima Centralna tehni\u010dna knji\u017enica Univerze v Ljubljani (CTK) sedaj tudi \u010ditalnico Mira Pu\u0161nika.
