You are cordially invited to the opening ceremony of the new exhibition Patent for Flight, which will take place on Thursday, 28 March 2024, at 11:00 at the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana.<\/p>\n
The preparation of the exhibition brought together several important activities related to the work of the CTK. The 115th anniversary of the first flight of a Slovene in a powered aircraft of his own design is approaching. This year, Slovenians are also celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first aviation organisation in Slovenia, the Ljubljana Aero Club. The 12 panels located in the exhibition corridor on the 1st floor of the library present important Slovenian innovators in the field of aircraft design who worked on Slovenian soil and in the neighbourhood. We have searched the major patent databases and, with excerpts from patent documents, have tried to show the varied patent activity of our inventors. We would also like to remind you that the Patlib Centre at CTK will soon be 20 years old, to which we have dedicated the opening part of the exhibition. In the area of patent informatics, we cooperate with the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office, from where the material on the protection of intellectual property is also drawn.<\/p>\n
In the reading room, in addition to library materials on aviation, there are also model(s) of aircraft made in the Creative Room, as well as exhibits of historical value from the Letov Association of Aviation Heritage Lovers in the lending cabinet.<\/p>\n
While you're visiting the exhibition, don't miss a visit to our Creation Room, equipped with advanced tools and machines for modelling and making, VR goggles, a flight simulator and more. Maybe the exhibition will inspire someone to create on the drawing boards provided.<\/p>\n
The opening of the exhibition will be enriched by a lecture by representatives of the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office on the creation of a European patent with unitary effect.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will be open until 28 May 2024.<\/p>\n
