Elsevier - 50% discount on publication costs in hybrid and gold journals in 2020

The 2020 licence agreement with Elsevier allows corresponding authors from the Slovenian consortium members to receive a 50% discount on the Article Processing Charge (APC) for open access publications in the publisher's 2,165 hybrid and gold journals (excluding Cell Press, The Lancet and journals of certain partner publishers or associations) - list of journal titles with 50% discount at APC in 2020.

General Terms and Conditions:

  • for articles SUBMITTED for publication in 2020 (for articles submitted for publication in 2019, only the 15% discount still applies) - list of addresses),
  • the correct details of the author's institution,
  • identification of the author by the official e-mail address of the institution.

After acceptance of the article for publication in the publisher's system, the author selects the open publication option; the affiliation of corresponding authors to the consortium institutions and eligibility for the discount is confirmed by the contact persons in the institutions' libraries.

Authors from the Slovenian consortium members also benefit from the same advantages when publishing in the Heliyon mega-review.

Authors may share their research with other researchers at any stage of the publication process, but this must take into account Elsevier's policy on sharing publications (websites, academic social networks, repositories, bibliography tools, etc.).
