The Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana makes the www.ctk.uni-lj.si website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No 30/18).
To ensure the legal requirements for accessibility, some adaptations have been made, such as:
- Responsive design (the website adapts to the size of the user's screen without losing structure or content),
- The website includes a dedicated plugin that allows different types of accessibility flexibility,
- it is possible to enlarge letters without losing content or functionality,
- websites can also be used with the keyboard only (navigation without a mouse), using the functionality of browsers,
- appropriate colour contrasts (between text and background),
- websites are free of flashing content and are safe to use for all user groups who might react or be offended by flash changes and flashing elements,
- the possibility to annotate images with alternative text,
- different levels of addresses can be used,
- the website has a sitemap,
- the website works predictably.
COMPLIANCE RATE
The www.ctk.uni-lj.si website is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Apps Act due to the exceptions listed below.
INACCESSIBLE CONTENT
We regularly monitor and improve the accessibility of www.ctk.uni-lj.si. However, some of the content published does not yet meet all the accessibility requirements set out in the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
Such content includes:
- Some photos are not accompanied by alternative text. These are mainly decorative or complementary to the text. It is therefore possible to access the text without the use of photographs or their replacement texts.
- In some virtual exhibitions, the images do not have alternative text.
- Some PDF files, which are scanned documents, are not accessible to users with certain disabilities.
- The website does not have a page search. Content can be accessed via the sitemap.
- Software-generated elements such as the Catalogue of Standards and the Mech database do not meet certain accessibility requirements.
- Some complex data tables do not meet certain accessibility requirements.
- In some cases, heading levels are skipped to improve the display of elements on the page.
