Library of Things is collection of loan objects, expanding the boundaries of traditionally defined library materials. With the Library of Things, CTK aims to offer our users physical tools, needed to support lifelong learning and creativity. The collection supports the library's mission to foster community and enrich individual lives through learning, collaboration and networking.

HOW IS THE LOAN PROCESS?
RESERVATION/BORROWING
Check out our catalogue of items (below) and find the tool you need. To borrow/reserve a tool, please contact us at the Library Information Desk or reserve a tool in the COBISS catalogue.
PREVIEW
You can pick up your reserved tool at the library's information desk. When you pick up your tools, we will check them and sign a loan declaration.
REFUND
When the tool is returned, we check its condition and note any defects or damage.
CATALOGUE OF OBJECTS
The catalogue offers a variety of tools, devices, board games, power cords and calculators for you to borrow. The Library of Things allows our members to borrow items for work, study, hobbies and DIY projects. So you can try out new technologies, save money and reduce waste without buying. Games, power cords and calculators are only available for loan within the CTK premises. If you have a suggestion for a new tool, please email: knjiznica-stvari@ctk.uni-lj.si.

Who can borrow tools/equipment?
Only library members of legal age can borrow tools/equipment and other items from the Library of Things.
What items are available for loan?
There are various items, tools, board games, power cables, computers, etc. available to enable users to carry out various DIY projects. If you have a suggestion for a new tool, please email knjiznica-stvari@ctk.uni-lj.si.
Where can I pick up/return borrowed equipment/tools?
Equipment can be collected and returned at the information desk.
How do I reserve equipment/tools?
You can make a reservation at the info desk or via COBISS.
How long can I borrow equipment for?
Equipment can be rented for 7 days with the possibility of renewal. Certain equipment is only available for loan within the library.
