CTK Governing Bodies
CTK is founded by the Republic of Slovenia, with the Government of the Republic of Slovenia exercising its founding rights. CTK is headed by Acting Director Tilen Mandelj.
The highest governance body is the CTK Council. The CTK Council is chaired by Mag. Dunja Legat. The CTK Expert Council is chaired by Petra Durini.
The CTK is organised into several departments and services:
Customer Service Support (CSS):
- ensuring that reading rooms are well maintained and that information resources in reading rooms are accessible,
- carry out other work and tasks in the area of work concerned, as decided by the Head of Department
or director. - organise and manage the use of reading rooms and related information and other services
infrastructure, - in cooperation with the custodians of the collections, ensure that printed material in the open access collection is organised and accessible
access and storage, - organises and manages the registration of new members and the library's membership register,
- organises and carries out loans of printed library materials from the CTK's holdings,
- organise and ensure the use of electronic information resources in reading rooms,
- provides basic information on information resources and assistance in using information resources
in the reading rooms and information about the library and its services, - organise and implement the storage of printed material,
- helps organise user training,
- helps organise exhibitions and other events at the library,
- manages the library's communication with users,
- contributes to the library's social media and website,
- helps promote the library's services.

Material Acquisition Department (PG):
- manages the acquisition of information resources and participates in financial planning,
- helps to obtain funding for the acquisition of information resources,
- implement procedures for the acquisition of information resources,
- manages information resources for CTK (ordering, data entry and invoicing of received
library materials in the COBISS system, inventory of library materials and inventories
books, keeping records of information resources, equipping the library's printed materials received
materials, relocation, deprecation of information resources), - manages the consortium's procurement of information resources,
- acquire and disseminate a wide variety of information resources not available through the Funds
CTK, for domestic users and international subscribers, - procure individual information resources from publishers, professional associations and
other providers, and imports information resources from outside the EU, - organise and maintain a network of information resource providers and actively engage in
international exchange of resources, - monitors changes in domestic and foreign copyright and other legislation
work-related areas - monitors substantive, organisational and technological developments in the field of international
sharing information resources and integrating them into ongoing work, - help organise user training and other events at the organisation
libraries, - promote the use of information resources and help organise
user training and other events organised by the library, - provides technical assistance to staff in higher education and special libraries in the area of acquisitions
information resources, - carry out other work and tasks in the area of work concerned, as decided by the Head of Department
or director.

Information, Research, Development and Instructional Services (IRIS) Division:
- develops collections of information resources in the fields of engineering and natural sciences;
- organise and carry out formal and substantive cataloguing of its information resources; and
information sources from other subscribers, - organise and carry out the production of bibliographies for the needs of researchers and other clients in
information system for research in Slovenia, - information retrieval, advice, user training and other services
specialised services, - builds specialised databases, specialised collections, specialised catalogues and
repositories, - is actively involved in the development of a national methodology for the evaluation of scientific
performance, - ensures integration into the network of specialised information systems in Slovenia and
internationally, - help organise user training and other events at the organisation
libraries, - provides technical assistance to staff in higher education and special libraries in the provision of
information and processing of material, - monitors substantive, organisational and technological developments in the field of IT
activities, - carry out other work and tasks in the area of work concerned, as decided by the Head of Department
or director.
The Department is headed by Dr Doris Dekleva-Smrekar (Doris.Dekleva-Smrekar@ctk.uni-lj.si, tel. 01 2003 431).
Open Science and Information Technology Division (OZIT):
- manages the library's information and communication infrastructure,
- provides IT support for the work of individual organisational units,
- carry out and coordinate development tasks to meet the needs of the library,
- ensuring that the quality and efficiency of the library's services are checked,
- maintains the creative space, allows users to use equipment and tools, and provides loans
items for the house, - collaborates with other public organisations to provide IT support on
in open science and elsewhere, - collaborate with other public organisations in the provision of scientific infrastructure in
Republic of Slovenia in the fields of open science and elsewhere, - manages the DiRROS repository - the Digital Repository of Research Organisations of Slovenia,
- networking the library in Slovenia and internationally,
- supports users and researchers in the production of professional and scientific works, in
handling research data, resolving copyright issues,
open publishing, and more, - participates in and coordinates the Citizen Science Network,
- help organise user training and other events at the organisation
libraries, - carry out other work and tasks in the area of work concerned, as decided by the Head of Department
or director.
The Department is headed by Dr Uroš Kunaver (uros.kunaver@ctk.uni-lj.si, tel. 01 2003 444).
General, Personnel and Finance (SKF):
- human resources, organisation and finance,
- manages and coordinates legal support for the Library's needs,
- drafting the library's acts and secretarial work for the library's management,
- organise and manage the library's document work and archives,
- keeping library staff informed,
- keeping the accounts and preparing the statutory accounts and annual reports,
- performs financial and accounting work for the library,
- perform accounting controls and report data to ensure rational spending
financial resources - prepares financial plans
- calculating and paying salaries and other remuneration,
- carry out other work and tasks in the area of work concerned, as decided by the Head of Department
or director.
