The Central Technical Library online enrolment you can enter University of Ljubljana students (login with student ID) and Staff. Neither requires any special proof to enrol. All other members (primary school pupils, students, pensioners, unemployed, unemployed, employees of the University) must physically register at the library, as you have to prove your status with special certificates. Download the registration form here and bring it back with you.
Online enrolment is particularly suitable for users who do not live in Ljubljana or Slovenia, as it allows you to use of selected e-resources for engineering remote access.
The indicative accessibility of remote access collections is indicated by the colour of the collection name, and detailed access conditions are given in the descriptions of the individual collections:
- In addition to students and staff of the University of Ljubljana, the collection can also be accessed from locations outside the University by other users, members of the University Libraries, CTK and NUK.
- The collection can only be accessed from locations outside the University of Ljubljana by students and employees of the University of Ljubljana, members of the UL libraries, CTK and NUK.
University of Ljubljana students
Online subscription allows University of Ljubljana students to order and reserve library materials, order a copy of an article or newspaper by the CTK price list, inter-library loans and remote access to selected e-resources in the field of engineering (green and orange collections).
To use other services (information queries, biographies, etc.), the user must first visit the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana, where he/she identifies himself/herself with an ID at the borrowing desk, signs the e-enrolment form and picks up a membership card if he/she wishes to have it in physical form.
In the library, users can also use their e-membership card in mCobiss, but they need a physical card to use the book machine.
By clicking on the Submit button, the user confirms that he/she wishes to become a member of the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana and that he/she is aware of and accepts the following the library's terms and conditionsas set out in the General Acts of the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana. After registration, you will receive instructions on how to complete your registration at the email address provided.
The user consents to the processing of his/her personal data (name and surname, date of birth, permanent or temporary address, category of membership, information data) by the Library for the purposes of the Library's activities in accordance with the Law on Librarianship and the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, for the duration of his/her membership in the Library and for a maximum of one year from the expiry of his/her membership in the Library, or until the date on which he/she has settled his/her payment obligations to the Library and has returned the borrowed library materials to the Library. He/she also confirms that the personal data provided is true and that he/she will inform the Library of any change in his/her personal data within 8 (eight) days of the change, otherwise he/she will bear the consequences of any inaccurate personal data.
The User agrees that the Court of Ljubljana shall have jurisdiction to settle disputes.
After registration
We will send you information on the other steps of the enrolment process as soon as possible to the email address you have provided. Using the membership card number and password you provided when you signed up, you can order library materials via COBISS+ for loan to the reading room or to your home. We recommend you also take a look at price list and conditions library operations.
Staff
Online subscription allows users with the status "employee" to order and reserve library materials, order a copy of an article or newspaper by the CTK price list, inter-library loans and remote access to selected e-resources in the field of technology (green-coloured collections).To use other services (information queries, biographies, etc.), the user must first visit the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana, where he/she identifies himself/herself at the borrowing desk with an ID, signs an e-enrolment form and takes out a membership card if he/she wishes to have it in physical form.
