As part of the activities of the Open Science Action Plan, CTK has launched a portal openpublications.si (https://www.uradni-list.si/glasilo-uradni-list-rs/vsebina/2023-01-1828/uredba-o-izvajanju-znanstvenoraziskovalnega-dela-v-skladu-z-naceli-odprte-znanosti).
Regulation on the implementation of scientific research work in accordance with the principles of open science (https://www.uradni-list.si/glasilo-uradni-list-rs/vsebina/2023-01-1828/uredba-o-izvajanju-znanstvenoraziskovalnega-dela-v-skladu-z-naceli-odprte-znanosti), in Articles 3 and 9, prescribes the modalities of open publication of scientific articles and monographs and the eligibility of open publication costs.
Portal openpublications.si will help Slovenian researchers to implement open access to scientific publications in accordance with this Regulation. A particularly important part is the list of titles of scientific journals available under the so-called transformation contracts. These allow researchers to publish also in so-called hybrid journals.
In this list, users can also keep track of the indicative number of vouchers available for open publications. The portal also provides basic information on the requirements of funders in Slovenia and in the European Research Area regarding open publications, as well as information on some of the bad practices of publishers in open publishing and how to identify them.
In the near future, we will also update the portal with information and recommendations on the possibilities of open publication of scientific monographs.
