At the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana, we are successfully concluding the 2021–2025 programme period, during which we have consolidated the library's position as an important stakeholder at the heart of the national research and education infrastructure. We have prepared a new CTK development programme for the next five years, from 2026 to 2030. The new programme is based on current strategic guidelines and regulations in the field of higher education, scientific research and innovation in both the national and international context.
You are invited to attend the strategy presentation development of CTK 2026–2030 in Friday, 12 December 2025, at 12 noon in the new reading room of the CTK library (Trg republike 3, 1000 Ljubljana). The presentation will last 30 minutes.
At the presentation, you will learn more about the content of the new strategy and what the CTK will look like in the next five years. Among other things, you will learn about three key pillars our development in the period 2026–2030, which are:
- A socially engaged hub: CTK is an open space for creativity and knowledge transfer for students, researchers and the wider public.
- Support for open science: Coordination of the SPOZNAJ project and implementation of the Action Plan for Open Science.
- Excellence and innovation: Introduction of artificial intelligence, digital transformation and continuous improvement of services.
We will continue to focus on high-quality information resources, support for researchers and students, and the development of information literacy skills.
