What is the membership fee for consortia?

There is no such thing as a membership fee in the classical sense. Each institution covers its share up to the full price (the difference between the ARIS co-financing appropriations and the full price). This price varies from year to year. ARIS co-financing rates change, service prices usually increase by approx. 5 % each year, the USD exchange rate changes, publishers' pricing policies change, etc. As publishers are monopolists in their field, they raise prices at their own pace, regardless of market conditions. If an institution has not yet been included in the call for co-financing in the coming year, it is not yet eligible for co-financing in that year, but it can participate and cover the full amount itself.
