As of 2025, the collection is available on a new platform CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform.
To use the web interface, you must register.
When registering, you must provide your first name, last name and a valid email address issued by your organisation (with the migration to the new platform, it is registration is only possible by using a postal address within the UL postal address space according to the scheme @"entity".uni-lj.si, where the entity is a short name of a Member, Associate Member, Student Domain or UL Domain) and specify a username and password. For the username, we suggest "username" (without quotes) or your organisation's e-mail address, and the password must be at least seven characters long, with at least one number, one capital letter and one of the special characters (@,#,%...) - find out more about passwords here. Finally, you need to choose a security question and the answer you will need in case you forget your password.
Registration and use for students and employees is also possible from home via remote access.
Once you have successfully completed the first part of the registration process, you will receive an email asking you to click on the link sent to you within 48 hours. This completes your registration and you can start using the CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Please be informed about the upcoming email address verification process that will affect users. This initiative aims to increase the security and reliability of our services and thus provide a better user experience.
Why is this important for your users?
- Improved communication: Verified email addresses ensure reliable delivery of important updates, notifications and account-related information.
- Improved account security: This procedure protects accounts from unauthorised access by maintaining accurate records.
- More effective supportA: Verified email addresses allow faster and more efficient support when users need help.
- A personalised experienceA: Accurate contact details allow us to tailor communications and services to their specific needs.
Ensuring the deliverability of emails from CAS (userprofile@cas.org):
It is important that your company's email systems are configured to receive emails with userprofile@cas.org. This email address is used for critical account notifications, including upcoming email verification prompts. If users do not receive these emails, they will not be able to complete the verification process, which could cause problems with account access.
What users need to do:
In the coming months (from April 2025), users with unverified email addresses will be asked to verify their email address when logging in to the product. This prompt will guide them through a simple verification process which should only take a few minutes.
A breakdown of the user experience:
- Prompt: After logging in, users will be prompted to check their email.
- Verification email: users will receive an email from the website userprofile@cas.org with the title "CAS Profile Verification Code".
- Entering the code: users will need to copy the verification code from the email and paste it into the verification prompt.
Support:
If users encounter any questions or problems during the verification process, please contact the CAS Regional Helpdesk.
We understand that such changes may require adjustments and appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a smooth transition for your users. This verification process is essential to maintaining the integrity and security of our services. Thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation.
