Central Technical Library at the University of Ljubljana is an innovative higher education library that makes its own and international materials and information resources accessible, especially in the fields of engineering and natural sciences.

Phenomenal study environment, for many years (even before I started studying) CTK has been a wonderful study corner where I can prepare thoroughly for all my exams and other obligations in the company of other students and friendly staff.CTK offers a large selection of literature, the library itself is tidy, clean and quiet. There are vending machines on the ground floor during breaks, and there are many restaurants in the area that offer food on student vouchers. I would also like to highlight the staff, who are very friendly and always willing to help. A great advantage of the CTK is the extended weekends, when the library is open until midnight on weekends during exam periods.
I like coming to CTK because it’s open until midnight and because I’m used to it – I’ve been coming here to study for a long time. What I like most is the general atmosphere; most of the people who go there are regulars, and it’s really nice to see the same faces every day. Whenever we’ve needed anything, we’ve just asked the staff and they’ve sorted it all out.
I enjoy going to the CTK because we study there with our fellow students and we like the atmosphere in the library. As a student, I like the fact that it’s located near some good restaurants where you can eat on a meal voucher, whilst the reading room has a very productive atmosphere.
CTK is great because of the good company and because the space is nicely laid out. It’s really important that the space is well designed, as it really motivates you to study. I also like the fact that you can pop out for a walk around town during a break. And I’ve made friends here, as I often come here during exam time.
Compared to other libraries, the CTK has something special – it’s called the Creative Workshop, run by Miha Knez. My experience with the Creative Workshop and Miha was a lovely one, as I got to do lots of interesting things, such as drawing, designing characters on paper and 3D modelling with ZBrush, which is available in the Creative Workshop. I drew and created the characters myself, as I know how to do that and enjoy it, whilst I had no idea how to make 3D models. That’s why Miha helped me a lot and guided me through the process. CTK is an interesting library with friendly staff, lots of events and a great selection of books.
