Acting Director of the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana (CTK), took over the position of Director of the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana (CTK) on the basis of the decision of the 6th Correspondence Meeting of the Council of the CTK. Tilen Mandelj.
Tilen Mandelj is a university-educated librarian with more than two decades of experience in higher education librarianship. Until taking up the post of Acting Director, he headed the User Services Support Department at the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana, where he performed managerial tasks in the areas of user services, lending, reading rooms and digital support. He was actively involved in policy formulation and the development of new services and made a significant contribution to raising the profile of the library.
He is a co-author of professional and scientific papers, co-creator of national library infrastructures and a long-standing initiator of innovation and professional communication in the Slovenian library space.

In the coming period, we want to strengthen this role even further: by supporting open science, developing information and digital literacy, and actively engaging diverse communities. We aim to ensure that CTK remains a key infrastructure and societal partner for research, education and sustainable development,« said Tilen Mandelj at the time of his appointment.
The library will continue to operate smoothly and continue with all ongoing projects.
