Safety at work

Basic instructions for working safely with work equipment

  • Only work on machinery if you are professionally qualified to do so and have been instructed in the hazards involved and the measures to prevent them.
Before starting work, be sure to read and follow the instructions for working safely with the machine in question.
  • Machines must only be used for their intended purpose.
  • Test the machine before putting it into operation. Check that all safety devices are installed and working properly.
  • Safety and protective devices must not be removed or blocked arbitrarily.
  • Tampering with the moving parts of the machine is strictly prohibited.
  • For all possible work, e.g. tool changing, measuring, lubricating, cleaning, troubleshooting, repairing, etc., stop the machine and switch off the main switch, locking it in the zero position. After disconnection, wait for the machine to come to a standstill.
  • When the machine is running automatically, it is not allowed to carry out any adjustments or repairs during the machine's standstill period.
  • When you have finished working, switch off the machine and unplug it from the mains, following the machine manufacturer's instructions.
  • If the machine malfunctions, do not switch any of the machine's functions, but turn off the main switch and inform staff of the malfunction.
  • Arbitrary repairs to the machine are strictly prohibited.
  • Wear the prescribed protective equipment and keep it in good working order.
  • If there are special additional instructions for safe working with the machine, please make yourself aware of them and follow them strictly!
