The University Library of Maribor in cooperation with the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana invites you to a professional event entitled Copyright and open science, which will take place in Friday, 3 October 2025, at 9 am in the Glazer Hall of the University Library Maribor.
The event is aimed at discussing current issues of copyright law in the context of open science. We will focus on free licences and the copyright obstacles and challenges faced by researchers. We will pay special attention to the right of secondary publication, which was included in the Law on Scientific Research and Innovation in May this year and represents an important step towards greater accessibility of scientific publications. The event will also present copyright aspects of the use of online platforms relevant for researchers.
