CTK acquires and provides access to library materials and information resources in the scientific and professional fields of engineering and, to some extent, the natural sciences.
The mission of the CTK and the Associate Membership Agreement state that the CTK supports quality education, development and research activities to meet the needs of UL students and higher education teachers.
Therefore, CTK builds its library collection also on the basis of systematic monitoring of the development of study programmes in the fields of engineering and partly natural sciences, especially certain study programmes at the following UL faculties:
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty of Architecture
- Faculty of Electrical Engineering
- Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy
- Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology
- Faculty of Maritime and Transport
- Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics
- Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering
At the above-mentioned faculties, we monitor the available lists of basic and recommended study literature and use this information to update the library collection.
